Royal Family Kids Camp - Plover

Royal Family Kids Camp is for foster kids ages 6-12.  It is one week of creating “moments that matter” in these children’s lives through a volunteer staff of people with hearts for these children.  One of the things they did at this camp was put on a camp wide “birthday party” for all of the children there.  Many times, birthdays are missed for these kids as they move from foster home to foster home and many have never celebrated a birthday in their honor.   Every child at camp receives the birthday party of all time – complete with cake, ice cream, and presents!   Every child will receive a memory bag that will include a bible, activity book about the bible lessons learned at camp, a photo album with pictures from camp, an mp3 player with worship songs from camp, 2 camp t-shirts, and much more!  They even get to ride to camp on a charter bus complete with a movie to watch on the way!  We want each child to see his/her worth through royal treatment.  After all, isn’t this how God sees them?  As Royalty?

This year, 2014, is going to be our third year of camp, and thanks to people like you who have taken an interest in our children, and CAMP the Movie we expect to have more staff and more kids than ever–isn’t God great?  We are expecting to have 40 kids and 60 staff members and man are we excited!  But this cannot happen without people like you.  Without your time, your stewardship, and/or your financial donation this could not happen.  So help a child today.  And don’t forget to tell your friends.

Our Story

About seven years ago, a couple came to visit our church to talk about a camp in which they were involved for abused, abandoned and neglected foster kids in the county from which they lived.  The story they shared with us broke our hearts.   We supported that camp for a number of years, but God decided we needed to to more.  We went to Director’s Training, talked to our Senior Pastor, and in 2012 began a camp here in Central Wisconsin for the children of Marathon, Portage, Wood, and Waupaca counties.
