UWSP Museum Of Natural History

Who We Are

The UWSP Museum of Natural History is an integral educational entity within the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, dedicated to bringing natural history to life. This professionally maintained academic resource provides an opportunity for greater public understanding and appreciation for the world in which one lives through exhibitions, education, research, and public service. The Museum is affiliated with the College of Letters and Science and is open when school is in session (including extensive summer hours) at which time the public is welcome to walk through to visit the exhibits.

What We Do

The mission of the Museum is to (1) ensure the professional curation of the Museum's collections and foster their growth, (2) facilitate access to these resources for research, (3) aid in the dissemination of scientific and ethnographic information, (4) encourage the integration of Museum resources in UWSP student instruction and research, (5) provide for exhibition of the Museum's collections, and (6) serve as a teaching and learning resource for schools and the regional public community.
