Join CWCM in creating a frightening family friendly event that focuses on fun and less on candy. Public event runs from 11-3 before downtown trick or treating starts. Will need help with set up, during event, and take down/clean up. You do not need to stay for the whole event, shifts are available depending on personal availability.
The Boohaha Museum Spooktacular is a safe, fun-filled way to avoid the traditional 'sugar shock' of Halloween, and celebrate all of the fun!
Our event is held is historic downtown and includes Live Hoedown music, Healthy snacks, Fun carnival games, Halloween crafts, Exhibit play, Live critters, Cool raffle prizes, and More!
There will be Trick or Treating at main street businesses from 3-7pm and each child will receive a gift bag! Proceeds from ticket revenue, sponsorships, and raffle are used to support our programming and our learning exhibits.
CWCM is seeking volunteers to help before, during, and after the event. Types of duties include:
Decorating the space! (8-11a)
Running Carnival Games! (11-3)
Greeting and checking in guests! (11-3)
Selling raffle tickets! (11-3)
Serving Snacks and Refreshments! (11-3)
Painting happy faces!! (11-3)
Presenting Gross Science activities!
Basic clean-up and organize! (3-?)
This is a FUN & Exciting event, which is not too long, is fast paced, and attendees (which are mostly kids!) are happy because they are here and having a good time! Come as a group or be a team and work together!
All volunteers are encouraged to dress up in their best, child friendly, costumes!
