This includes the delivery of patient-related materials, including patient belongings, lab specimens, radiology films, etc. Must be able to clearly hear the staff request and to communicate to the PACE Transport Volunteer. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Completion of training course provided by Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital, including, but not limited to the following: body mechanics, knowledge of hospital/clinic, location of departments and services, equipment usage, and patient safety. The volunteer will monitor the waiting area and take phone calls from the surgery and GI department and communicate with the family/friend waiting for someone to finish a procedure. Training:Volunteer will train with the Volunteer Coordinator to learn the processes and tools needed for the assignment. Training is usually completed after 1-2 trainings. Qualifications/Attributes: Must have good communication skills, friendly, positive attitude, empathetic personality, professional, team player. Physical Demands: Some walking. Be able to bend and put away supplies that are delivered to the area. Nutritional items are delivered for the hospitality area.
