Volunteer: Help with Warehouse Packing DayThe 3rd Thursday of each month, starting about 9 am and throughout the day volunteers are we welcomed at the Wisconsin/Nicaragua Partners warehouse to help sort, and pack donated items for people in need. There are always a variety of options, some requiring lifting and other light duty tasks like writing inventory as boxes are packed (no lifting). We encourage volunteers to drop off their own donations on the packing days as there are volunteers available to help unload their cars. Items such as educational supplies, sewing machines/supplies, sports equipment, bicycles and firefighting gear are welcome. Volunteer: Bicycle Project Volunteers NeededWe are looking for volunteers to help with the bicycle project. A variety of options are available, from sorting out bicycles into groups (good to go, need repair, recycle) and there are options if desired to repair bicycles that need new tires, or minor repairs. All these bicycles have been donated for people in need. The bicycles are located at the Wisconsin/Nicaragua Partners warehouse, 5 miles North of Stevens Point. The donated bicycles are generally in good condition, however, some have flat tires, rusty chains, or other minor deficiencies that with a little care could provide much needed transportation for someone. Others simply need to be recycled as they are beyond a reasonable scope of repair. This can be done at your convenience.
