The 21st Annual Portage County Taste of Wine & Cheese is a signature fundraising event benefiting Boys & Girls Club of Portage County. This popular community event features over 100 wines from around the world, specialty cheeses, handcrafted beer, desserts, raffles, and a robust silent auction. Taste of the Vineyard is an intimate, VIP gathering prior to Taste of Wine & Cheese featuring a four-course meal and high-class wine and beer pairings. All proceeds directly support local Boys & Girls Club members.
We are seeking volunteers to help with event setup, event support, and cleanup. Join us behind the scenes and be part of an event that brings our community together while supporting kids and teens who need us most.
Volunteer Shifts Available:
Setup
- Taste of Wine & Cheese Setup: Wednesday, April 22 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Taste of Wine & Cheese Setup: Thursday, April 23 | 9:00 AM –12:00 PM
- Taste of the Vineyard Setup: Thursday, April 23 | 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Event Support
- Taste of the Vineyard Event: Friday, April 24 | 4:15 PM – 7:30 PM
- Wine & Cheese Event: Friday, April 24 | 6:45 PM –10:00 PM
Cleanup
- Taste of the Vineyard Cleanup: Friday, April 24 | 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM
- Taste of Wine & Cheese Cleanup: Monday, April 27 | 9:00 AM -11:00 PM
Details:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift tables, chairs and other event set up items
- Ages 18+ for set up and clean up
- Ages 18+ for Taste of the Vineyard event support
- Ages 21+ for Taste of Wine & Cheese event support
