AARP Tax Assistance

The most important qualification for our volunteers is the ability to communicate and work with a diverse population of clients.  Our program targets both the low income and elderly population.  It also helps to have basic computer skills – nothing fancy.  We will train them on the skills they need to prepare simple tax returns and they will work with another volunteer in preparing the returns.  They need to be able to attend three days of tax training along with some self-study coursework.
