

Who We Are
MILC is a non-profit agency serving persons with disabilities. MILC is operated by a staff and board composed of people with disabilities. MILC staff provides information, training and support to assist people with disabilities in making informed decisions about their disability-related needs. Making Independent Living A Reality Through... Information and Referral-responding to requests for information on disability related topics, services and area resources. Advocacy-for individuals or systems, promoting the interests of persons with disabilities, assisting with access to community services and independent living. Independent Living Skills Training is about assisting individuals in learning skills to live independently in their communities. Peer Support-staff and volunteers with disabilities to share their life experiences with people who have similar disabilities. We also offer services in the areas of: Employment, Assistive Technology, Architectural Accessibility, Benefits Counseling, Community Education, Recreation and Housing Options.
