Vegetation Clearing: Robust Food System Project
Do you love to work outdoors? Do you love the smell of fresh air and getting your hands dirty? Consider joining Farmshed this summer as a vegetation clearing volunteer!
Volunteers Needed: 1-4
Length of commitment: September - November, Four days/week
Day/Time: Volunteers may schedule to come at anytime between 2pm - 3:30, 3:30-5:00PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

Job Description:
Volunteers will assist with clearing back garden to prepare it for becoming a fully functional garden.
Duties:
Volunteer will pull up all vegetation in back garden and carry it to drop off site. This will involve trimming trees, pulling up plants and grasses.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Appreciation for the outdoors
- Able to safely operate a garden equipment
- Able to stand or bend for long period of time
- Able to follow directions and work independently
What to Bring:
- Close toed shoes
- Practical and appropriate work attire
- Water bottle
- Sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- Hat
Benefits to the volunteer:
Volunteers will be able to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine and get some exercise in while supporting Farmshed’s mission and providing a beautiful space for community members, volunteers and staff to enjoy.
Training provided or other details:
Volunteers will be given a tour of the property and equipment used. Volunteers will learn how to access the lawn equipment and will be given a weekly task log to follow.
