A disparity in access to food, and that is culturally appropriate, was found in the Hmong community among elders and disabled residents. By partnering with CAP Services Hmong Uplift program and local Hmong restaurants and farmers, we are able to hold a program that closes the gap lack of food access.
How the program works:
1) Volunteers prepare culturally appropriate meals for Hmong teens, elders, disabled residents and their families in the Farmshed kitchen.
2) Meals are delivered by volunteers to the families a couple hours after the meals are prepared.
