With the PCHS Conservation Crew, we are seeking to create a supportive and rewarding volunteer experience which is much more than simply providing an outlet for working hands. We envision a genuine team which will forge new friendships and connections and find joy and fulfillment in working together toward common goals.
Conservation Crew members will:
- Tackle projects to preserve and maintain our historic properties and support our educational programs and community outreach events.
- Work on tasks ranging from minor repairs, light carpentry, painting, moving artifacts, building exhibit spaces, landscaping and deep cleaning to less physical work such as cleaning, storing, and assisting in office and general store.
- Problem-solve, plan and create supply lists for projects.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging environment for all participants.
- Work under the supervision of PCHS staff.
Our ideal volunteer:
- Is dependable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with others.
- Enjoys being part of a team.
- Has a positive, encouraging, "can-do" attitude!
